About De Pomme

Hello my name is Amy and I have worked in design for the last 16 years (aaaahhh, has it really been that long!!!)

Anyway....my main focus has been designing girlswear for the UK high street, which has been great fun - doesn't really feel like a proper job, more like a hobby that I get paid for.

Well, I moved to Australia in June 2010 and was staggered by the price of quirky gifts and childrens clothing in Sydney. Yeap it all looks rather lovely, but does it really have to be so expensive?!! The highest priced product at De Pomme is $60.00 which is the best party dress in town!!!

I have put together a small collection of girlswear that I designed for the UK and am launching it over here in Australia to test the market and see if there is a demand for mid priced trendy kidswear.

At present I only have girlswear, but depending on the success of this range I plan to expand into boyswear.

I am marketing the label as an on-line store www.depomme.com due to the ever expanding trend for e-tailing and will also hold open house viewings of the range as a new shopping concept.

Along side the girlswear I have some hand made gifts on the website, as I have a real passion for vintage prints and quintessentially English tut!! Hence the vintage aprons, bunting and tea cosies - you can't beat a good cup of hot tea!! Well on a hot sunny day in Oz, maybe an icy cold beer is better!!

I would just like to say a special thank-you to my lovely mum for all of her support and help with the starting of De Pomme. I think about you every day and wish we weren't so far apart x
